January 18th & 19th, 2020
As in each of the prior three years, Sedona VegFest 2020 was a two-day celebration of the joys of plant-based eating. Participants were able to learn from some of the top, national experts in plant-based nutrition and lifestyle as these relate to human, environmental and animal health and welfare – all in a fun, festive atmosphere. The VegFest exhibit area featured exciting products, services and information supportive of whole food plant-based living.
For this event I was on the Planning Committee and the “Ask The Chef Panel”. I also participated in the Sunday lunch, demoing my Root Vegetable & Fava Bean Tagine with Quinoa and Chermoula Drizzle, a recipe that I created specifically for the Veg Fest. I also provided helpful tips in the kitchen during the demo.
Cornville Culinary Chili Cook-Off
This was such a great event, especially since the 1st and 2nd place winners were the two vegan options, out of 30 participants! My entry got 2nd, and you can read more about it HERE!

This was a sold out event. JL Fields showed us how to use the Air Fryer by making kale/potato nuggets and Soy Curls. She used the electric pressure cooker when she dazzled us by cooking the potatoes and kale in a fraction of the time it would take on the stovetop. Lots of amazing tips. Everyone left confident they could use both appliances.
