Orange Walnut Cranberry Sauce

½ cup water
½ cup fresh-squeezed orange juice (1-2 oranges)
2/3 cup sugar
Zest from oranges
12 ounces fresh cranberries
2 teaspoons agar agar
¼ cup coarsely chopped pecans

  • In saucepan, combine water, orange juice, sugar, and zest. Heat on medium until sugar is dissolved.
  • Add cranberries, and cook until all cranberries pop.
  • Add agar agar and cook until thickened, approximately 1-2 minutes
  • Stir in pecans.
  • Cool and refrigerate before serving.
